The High Mountain – Corsica West Center – From Corte to Piana

If you like hiking in the mountains, you are on the right road!
From Corte, take the direction of the D84, on this winding and narrow road, you will stops to admire the magnificent landscape that is offered to you, including theMonte Cinto, highest point of Corsica. It is also on this road that many hikes such as the Lac De Nino start from the Forest House of Poppaghia.
Pass the Col de Vergio, the highest road pass in Corsica (1477 meters) and enter the magnificient forest of Aïtone. Pay attention on the road, many animals such as pigs, cows are in freedom and will not hesitate to come and greet you;)
Arrive in Porto and Piana, enjoy the many restaurants on the port of Porto and visit the spectacular creeks of Piana.
GOOD TIPS: Count 4-5 days if you are great hikers and do not want to miss anything. Be vigilant on the road, there are many animals and the roads are narrow.
